i went thru a ton of stuff that recursers worked on and happened upon nicholas chen's nomad hypertext:

it looks like he hasn't updated it in about a year, but was immediately struck at how it looked so practical for my purposes: just jotting down some thoughts, journal feelings (that i'm not that uncomfortable sharing publicly), and document learnings with the benefit of having an ML model connect some dots that i might not have noticed before.

for Career Break 2026, it seems like a great idea to document all the things i'm doing for 1. accountability and 2. get better at expressing my thoughts on technical things (i don't really have anyone else to do that with right now, now that I'm on a career break and don't surround myself with tech people).

so this is the blog that spawned from me being too nosey about what other people did/do and finding something kinda awesome as a result. you are awesome nicholas chen.
